This course on research and development track provides trainees comprehensive training modules to enhance technical capabilities on fisheries biotechnology R&D. Focus is on the technology and product pathway in fisheries and aquaculture biotechnology with emphasis on the basic scientific foundation, applied research, practices, methods and protocols, as well as existing regulatory policies. New breeding techniques (NBTs) used in fisheries and their applications in aquatic species are presented.
