In this course trainees will be introduced to the basic steps and techniques in developing GM animals. They will be introduced to the regulation of GM animals in selected countries. Trainees will have a chance to talk with scientists practicing the different techniques involved in developing GM animals and to visit laboratories where these techniques are used.
After completion of this course, trainees must be able to understand how GM animals are developed, the basic techniques in GM animal development, and the regulatory concerns.
