Biotechnology Awareness and Fundamentals of Communicating Biotechnology
What is biotechnology? Is it something new? How is it applied in agriculture? Is it beneficial to farmers, fisherfolks, and the agricultural and fishery sector at large? Why is it a subject of safety concerns and controversies? Is it bad for human and environmental health? Does it contribute to attaining food security and food sustainability?
In this sub-level, trainees will be introduced to the fundamental principles of biotechnology, its scope and application, issues and concerns, and fundamental concepts in communicating biotechnology.
