In this course, trainees will be introduced to the basic steps in developing GMOs, the facilities required and the regulatory agencies involved. Trainees will have a chance to talk with technology developers, to visit laboratories where GMOs are being developed and to visit a GMO confined test and/or a GMO field trial.
After completion of this course, trainees must be able to understand how GMOs are developed and the conditions imposed by regulation during the development process.
